Managing your user account

Managing your user account

Your user profile and account controls live at the very bottom of the left sidebar in MonsterOps. From there you can open your User settings page, switch the interface language, and sign out.

How to access your account controls

At the bottom of the left sidebar, you'll see your profile section:

  • Your avatar (or initials if you haven't uploaded one)
  • Your name
  • The email address associated with your account

Clicking the profile section opens a menu with three options:

  • User settings
  • Language
  • Sign out

User settings

Selecting User settings opens a dedicated page for managing your account, organized into two areas: Profile settings and Security settings.

Profile settings

Update your personal details and secure your account.

This section covers two preferences attached to your account: how MonsterOps reaches you by email and how your working style is recorded for your team.

Email reminders

Choose whether daily reminder emails are sent to your inbox.

A single checkbox controls whether MonsterOps sends you daily reminder emails. When enabled, you'll receive a daily digest reminding you about your To-dos. After changing the checkbox, click the save button below it to apply the preference.

DISC Profile

Record your DISC style and scores so your teammates can see how you prefer to work.

The DISC Profile is where you record your working style across four dimensions:

  • Dominance
  • Influence
  • Steadiness
  • Conscientiousness

There are two ways to set your scores:

  • Take the DISC assessment. A link in this section opens a 28-question personality assessment that calculates your D / I / S / C percentages automatically.
  • Enter scores manually. Each dimension has its own text box, so you can update individual values directly if you already know your scores or want to adjust them later.

Below the four scores, your DISC style is displayed — a two-letter code representing the two highest-scoring dimensions in your profile (for example, DI for someone whose top two dimensions are Dominance and Influence, in that order). The order matters: DI and ID are distinct, since the first letter is always the user's highest-scoring dimension. The style updates automatically whenever your scores change.

Your DISC Profile is visible to your teammates on your user profile page, so it acts as a quick reference for how you prefer to communicate and work.

Security settings

The Security settings section handles authentication for your account. You can:

  • Add a passkey — set up a passkey for password-less sign-in
  • Change your password — update the password on your account

Language

Selecting Language from the profile menu switches the interface language between the supported options:

  • English
  • Español
  • Français
  • Deutsch
  • Português
  • 日本語 (Japanese)

The same language switcher is available in the top bar. Changing the language updates the interface across the product but doesn't change the content of items you've created.

Sign out

Logs you out of MonsterOps. You'll need to sign in again to access your Organizations and teams.

Tips for setting up your account

  • Take the DISC assessment when you join MonsterOps. Recording your working style early gives teammates immediate context on how to collaborate with you.
  • Turn email reminders on if you tend to forget To-dos — the daily digest is a low-effort way to keep ongoing work visible without checking the product directly.
  • Add a passkey for faster, more secure sign-ins than a password alone.
  • Keep your DISC scores up to date if you take other assessments or your working style shifts over time. The two-letter style updates automatically when you change the underlying scores.

Things to keep in mind

  • User-level settings affect only your account. They don't change Organization-wide configuration — for that, see Organization Settings.
  • Your user level (an XP-based activity indicator) is separate from your permission level (Owner / Admin / Member). User level doesn't grant additional access; it's a measure of how active you've been in MonsterOps.
  • Your DISC Profile is shown on your public user profile page, which other Organization members can view. Score and write it with the assumption that teammates will see it.
  • Email reminders are limited to the daily To-dos digest — they don't cover other item types or activity.
  • Signing out from one device doesn't sign you out everywhere — each session is independent.
