Using the Calendar

Using the Calendar

The Calendar gives you a single, time-based view of scheduled items in MonsterOps. Instead of checking each section separately, you can see what's coming up across teams in one place.

What appears in the Calendar

The Calendar shows items that have a specific date attached to them:

  • News
  • To-dos (with a due date)
  • Meetings

Items without a specific date — including Issues, KPI intervals, Objectives, and Rocks — do not appear in the Calendar. For those, navigate to their dedicated tab to see what's coming up.

If an Issue becomes time-sensitive, you can convert it into a To-do so it gets a due date and shows up here.

View an item from the Calendar

Selecting an item on a date opens it directly from the Calendar, so you can see its details without leaving the view or navigating to its corresponding tab. This lets you move quickly from a high-level look at your schedule to the specifics of any single item.

Navigate the Calendar

The Calendar displays one month at a time. Use the month and year selector to move to the period you want to view — there are no separate day or week views, so the monthly layout is your single, consistent way to see what's scheduled. To plan further ahead or review what's already passed, simply change the selected month and year.

Best Practices

  • Use the Calendar as your starting point for the week to get a quick overview of what's scheduled before diving into individual sections.
  • Change the month and year selector to look ahead at upcoming deadlines or to review past activity.
  • Open items directly from the Calendar when you just need to check details, and switch to the dedicated tab when you need to make larger updates.
  • Check the Calendar regularly so deadlines for To-dos and Meetings don't slip past unnoticed.

Things to keep in mind

  • The Calendar only shows items with a specific date — News, dated To-dos, and Meetings.
  • Issues, KPI intervals, Objectives, and Rocks do not appear in the Calendar, even though some of them have due dates internally.
  • The Calendar uses a monthly view only; there's no day or week toggle.
